What’s The Itinerary For My 7 hour St.Lucia Sightseeing Tour Look Like?
This is where your journey beings, in the heart of the Capital City Castries. The nation’s Capital is both the commercial and governmental center for the island. It is the largest town in St. Lucia and always a hive of activities with over a third of the population living there. So as you navigate the street of Castries you will find incredible history of the town.
A glimpse at the government House, it is one of the most important pieces of historical architecture in St. Lucia. It features a unique architectural design of so many years past. But this piece of St. Lucian history is well maintained to reveal all its splendor from when it was first built in 1865. The aged walls with white trimmings of this old Victorian based architecture, presents a lovely view even from a distance.
Next sight is through Morne fortune which means "Hill of Good Luck," will find 18th-century Fort Charlotte located here along with sweeping views of Castries and surrounding area
Heading South of Castries, on the west coast is the delight gem Marigot Bay, nestled in a natural Hurricane Hole. Marigot Bay was the setting for the Movie Doctor Doolittle 1967- the original film starring Rex Harrison.
Out of Marigot Bay on the West Coast, the road runs through the Roseau Valley- the Banana Plantation.
Stopping at the plantation you will be given an insight into the cultivation and productions of bananas, which is our main export crop; get to savor the taste of our fresh sweet ripe bananas which is tastier than a traditional banana.
Back on the main road, situated on the west coast, just South of Marigot Bay is a quaint fishing village community of Anse La Raye. Continuing along the winding road of the west coast, on towards Canaries is some beautiful scenery where u can take a few minutes to indulge your senses and take a few photographs.
Now your journey is getting a lot fascinating "Awe-inspiring Sight of the dramatic Twin Peaks, Gros Piton and Petit Piton which is the most impressive landmark on the island. The volcanic mountains rise sharply out of the sea together with a majestic presence that you can't take your eyes off. This fame features is in the heart of Soufriere and it’s a must see. A drive through the town will give you a chance to see the locals and the colonial architecture from the French that is still very evident to this day.
Our next stop is Sulphur Springs--the Caribbean's only drive-in volcano. You know you have arrived when your nose picks up the strong scent of the sulfur springs! With more than 20 noisy pools of hot boiling muddy water. Walk with a guide to see the belching and gurgling pools of mud which are mixed with a variety of other minerals and chemical and watch the clouds of sulphur-laden steam rising from this dormant volcano. This is a once in a lifetime experience and makes this day tour unique to any other place on the planet. This is certainly a fascinating and educational experience for all!
St. Lucia Sulphuric mud bath it is good clean fun, here you can enjoy it in its natural state. The water of the springs is quite hot but soothing, making it a great stress reliever. France’s King Louis XVI had bathhouses built for his troops at these natural, mineral-rich falls. This wonderfully invigorating shower under the cascading waters is still a refreshing break. We then head off to Toraille Falls set in a attractive botanical garden. This high mineral content water have rejuvenating qualities that you can't help but relax and soak it all in. The Cascading 50 feet falls makes it a fantastic photo opportunity, capturing this magic moment for all time, standing beneath the falls the water pressure provides a pretty descent back neck and shoulder message and the freshness of the cool water will leave you feeling intensely clean invigorated and truly alive again.
